What is the dress code for a worship service?
- At Greater Vision, you will most likely feel at home in just about any style of clothing.
Do you have evening services?
- On Sundays we have Bible study at 9AM and Worship at 10AM. Every fourth Sunday of the month, we have a fellowship dinner at 5pm, with our church family, usually followed by singing or various activities at the church.
What is music like at Greater Vision?
- For the most part, the music portion of the worship service is contemporary style praise and worship. We occasionally have traditional hymns mixed in.
What denomination is Greater Vision?
- Greater Vision is a Southern Baptist Church. Although we do not belong to an association, we follow the Southern Baptist doctrine, which we feel is completely Biblical.
If I visit Greater Vision, would I be pressured to tithe to the church?
- We believe that tithing is an important aspect of faith in the relationship between us and the Father. If you have a relationship with Him, we would encourage you to participate in tithing with a body of believers somewhere. The offering at Greater Vision is for those who are part of the Greater Vision family. If you desire to worship God in that way, please feel free to do so.
What is tithing?
- According to the Bible, we are to give ten percent of what we produce back to God. That is tithing. He has blessed us in so many ways... wouldn't we want to give back to Him at least that portion of what we have been given?
When the congregation participates in a communion service, who participates and how does it happen?
- At Greater Vision, we take our communion services very seriously. We offer the ceremony to everyone who has a relationship with God through Jesus, but we stress the importance of a clean heart. In other words, if there is continual or consistent sin in one's life, we would encourage getting that cleared up with God before participating. Normally when we have communion, the pastor and servers stand at the front of the church and the congregation walks through a receiving line.
